About Me
Tell me about a time when you felt discriminated against, picked on, or bullied and how that impacts how you do your job?
I lived in Barcelona. I was shopping food in a market and I was followed by a security guard until I paid. I asked what was the problem and he literally said: “you’re Latin scum and I don’t trust you”. I had been profiled before by my skin color or nationality, but never like this. Fighting discrimination is a big part of why I am a lawyer.
What was law school like? Did you have any second thoughts along the way?
I was always under the spotlight since my father is founder of the Law School of the University where I studied. Never had second thoughts, but it was definitely much harder than usual.
Who or what inspired you to become an attorney?
My father. His passion to defend what’s right.
