While in law school, Shalini worked as a Clinic Attorney in the Center for Advocacy and Dispute Resolution and clerked for reputable law firms, gaining experience in criminal defense and civil litigation. She served as the founder and president of the Health Law Society, a founding member of the Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender & Social Justice, and a member of the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy. She was selected to participate in the Tennessee Bar Association’s Diversity Leadership Institute, Class of 2012, where she contributed to improving and enriching the legal community in Tennessee.
Since earning her law degree, Shalini has practiced civil litigation and estate planning, with a focus on family law. She joined The Spitz Law Firm, LLC as a labor & employment attorney in 2016 and does both pre-litigation and litigation work, representing clients in employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage and hour claims.
She is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi and conversational in Spanish. In her free time, she loves to watch movies, dance and spend time with her friends and family. Shalini is a native of Chattanooga, TN and works in our Cleveland, Ohio office.
